The Monkey and Crocodile
Once a monkey lived on an apple tree. He made friends with a crocodile who lived in a stream. The monkey gave an apple his friends to eat daily. One day the crocodile took an apple to his wife.
She, too, liked it. She wondered how sweet the heart of the monkey, who ate the sweet apples daily, would be ! She requested her husband to bring him home so that she might eat his heart.
The crocodile invited the monkey to his home. He agreed to meet his wife.In the mid-stream the foolish crocodile disclosed the secret.
The clever monkey told him to take him back to the tree as he had left behind his sweet heart on the top of the tree, the monkey said, "Go away, you fool.
Tell your wicked wife that she has the biggest fool as her husband."
Moral : Wisdom and cleverness win.
