THE CROWS AND THE BLACK SNAKE

Once a crow and his mate built a nest in a banyan tree. One day a black snake came there and started living in a hole under the tree. Living with a snake as a neighbour was dangerous. Once the mother crow laid eggs. Some time later, the baby crows were hatched. Both the father and the mother crow flew away in search of food. In their absence, the snake killed the little birds. When the couple returned, they found the baby crows missing. It was clear that the snake had eaten them. One day the father crow lifting the necklace of a lady of the royal household threw it into the snake's hole. The servants of the royal household followed the crow and killed the snake to get back the nacklace. This is how the crows got rid of their dangerous neighbour.
