THE WITTY CAP-SELLER

Once a cap-seller became tired in the noon after day's work. He sat under a tree to take a nap. The cap-seller was wearing a cap and the rest were beside him. Monkeys lived in the tree. They saw the caps. They quietly came down and stole away all the caps. On waking he found that all his caps were missing. Suddenly he saw that the monkeys on the tree were wearing a cap each. The cap-seller knew that it was impossible to catch them. He was in a despair and did know not what to do. Then the capseller hit upon a plan. He remembered that the monkeys imitate men. The cap-seller had a cap on his own head. He at once snatched the cap from his head and threw it on the ground. The monkeys immediately did the same- they threw their caps on the ground. The cap-seller picked them up and went away happily.
