Once a soldier was killed in the battlefiled. The dead warrior was brought home to his wife. The wife was stunned with grief and lost her power to weep or cry. A host of maidens gathered to console her. They tried to make her weep because they feared that her pent-up emotion would choke her to death. To make her cry the maidens began to praise the dead soldier. They said, "Your husband was a worthy friend and the most noble foe." But this effort was in vain. Not a drop of tear did trickle down her cheek. Then a maiden took away the face cloth of the dead warrior thinking that the dead face would make his wife weep. But this attempt also failed. Then a nurse of ninety years rose and set the wife's only child on her knee. No sooner had she done this than the wife burst into tears. "Sweet my child, I will live for thee".
Moral: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.
