Write a story (within 100 words) using the given hints. Give a title to the story. 10 [Hints: Three children collecting green mangoes near railway track — one sees a crack on rails — hears a train coming — senses danger — tears his red shirt — three pieces — waves like flags — driver stops — accident avoided — children rewarded]

Ans. Three Brave Children One day three children were collecting green mangoes from a mango tree. The tree was near a railway track. The three children were in a playful mood. Suddenly one of the children saw a crack on the rail line. He showed this to his two friends. They became very anxious. At that very moment they heard the sound of a train coming towards them from a distance . They could sense the danger clearly. They knew that a red flag is used to stop the train. But the children had very little time to manage it. Strangely one of them wore a red shirt that day. Quickly he tore the shirt into three pieces. Then all the three children started waving those red pieces as Flag. The driver noticed that and stopped the train immediately at a safe distance. Thus the accident could be avoided. After some time , the Indian Rail authority invited them to a programme to reward them for their courage and instant decision – making capacity .

Sub: Plastic carry Bags Should Be Banned

Sir,

Through your esteemed daily, I would like to express my concern about the use of plastic bags and want to appeal to the authority to put a permanent ban on plastic bags.Plastic bags are a threat to humanity as they cause harm to the planet in various ways.As plastics are non biodegradable, it takes hundreds of years for them to degrade, creating a landfill. Plastic destroys natural food chains, posing a significant risk to wildlife.

We frequently use plastic bags for convenience without thinking about the consequences of the plastic bags that end up in landfills and oceans. As an individual, every citizen should be responsible for our environment, and we should eliminate the use of plastic bags in our daily lives.

We have to think of a better biodegradable alternative to plastic bags, like paper bags or jute bags made of other biodegradable elements. The government should take the necessary steps to reduce the use of plastic bags. Strict rules should be implemented, and immediate restrictions must be taken on the production of plastic.

Thank you
Yours Faithfully

Paragraph on A Memorable Day In My Life in 100 Words

One sunny day, I went to the zoo with my family. We saw many animals like lions, tigers, elephants, and monkeys. The monkeys were funny and made me laugh. I also saw a big, grey elephant who splashed water with its long nose. I loved the colorful birds that sang sweet songs. We ate ice cream and popcorn, which tasted yummy. I also got to ride a small train around the zoo. I felt happy and excited all day. This day was special and I will always remember it because I had so much fun with my family at the zoo.

Complete the story: The hare laughed at the slow moving tortoise

The Hare and the Tortoise

One day the Hare laughed at the short feet and slow speed of the Tortoise. The Tortoise replied: "You may be as fast as the wind, but I will beat you in a race!" The Hare thought this idea was impossible and he agreed to the proposal. It was agreed that the Fox should choose the course and decide the end. The day for the race came, and the Tortoise and Hare started together. The Tortoise never stopped for a moment, walking slowly but steadily, right to the end of the course. The Hare ran fast and stopped to lie down for a rest. But he fell fast asleep. Eventually, he woke up and ran as fast as he could. But when he reached the end, he saw the Tortoise there already, sleeping comfortably after her effort.
